The Holy Spirit opens our ears and hearts to listen to the Word so that the healing effects of the Gospel might take hold within us. While Jesus wanted all who witnessed this miracle to keep silent for a time, He opens our ears to hear and receive the Gospel, and He gives us mouths to proclaim His mercies to all.
